Ordering & quotes

How do I get pricing?

Browse the catalogue, add the models and quantities you need to your quote list, then submit the quote request form. There is no online checkout: every order is priced by quote so that volume, case-pack quantities and fulfilment are reflected accurately. We reply by email with an itemized quote, availability and lead times.

Do I need an account to request a quote?

No. Anyone purchasing on behalf of a business or organization can submit a quote request without registering. A trade account is optional and is designed for buyers who reorder regularly; it adds a dedicated account contact, streamlined repeat ordering and eligibility for net payment terms after review.

How quickly do you respond?

We typically respond to quote requests within one business day, Monday to Friday. Larger project requests and special-order models may take slightly longer while we confirm availability with the manufacturer or distributor. If that is the case, we let you know when to expect the complete quote.

Is there a minimum order?

There is no minimum to request a quote, and we supply everything from single units to full pallets. Some models, particularly small appliances and compact units, are supplied in case-pack quantities, and volume tiers apply as quantities increase. Both are confirmed on your quote so you can adjust before placing an order.

Can you source a model that isn't in the catalogue?

Yes. The online catalogue represents our core range rather than everything we can supply. Send us the brand, model number and quantity through the contact form or in the notes on your quote request, and we will confirm availability, lead time and pricing on request.

Pricing & payment

How is pricing determined?

All pricing is trade pricing provided by quote. It is based on the model, the quantity ordered and how the order will be fulfilled, whether by delivery or warehouse pickup and as a single shipment or staged over time. Because we sell business-to-business only, there is no retail markup built into our quotes.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Interac e-Transfer, electronic funds transfer (EFT) and certified funds. Approved trade accounts may be extended net payment terms following a review. Payment instructions are provided with your order confirmation; we never ask for payment details through this website.

Are taxes included in quotes?

No. Quotes exclude applicable taxes, such as HST, unless the quote states otherwise. Taxes are itemized separately on your invoice according to the delivery destination.

How long is a quote valid?

Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless a different validity period is stated on the quote. Availability can change within that window, so we recommend confirming your order promptly once you are ready to proceed. If a quote has expired, ask us to refresh it and we will confirm current availability and pricing.

Delivery & pickup

Do you deliver?

Yes. We deliver across Ontario and can consolidate multiple sites or units into scheduled deliveries so a project's appliances arrive together. Delivery is quoted per order based on destination, volume and site requirements, and appears as a separate line on your quote.

Can I pick up my order?

Yes. Warehouse pickup in Ontario is available by appointment once your order is confirmed and ready. We stage palletized orders in advance so loading is quick; let us know your vehicle type when booking so we can prepare accordingly.

What are typical lead times?

In-stock items typically ship or are ready for pickup within a few business days of order confirmation. Special-order models and larger project quantities are quoted individually with a lead time based on manufacturer availability. Your quote states the expected lead time for each line item.

Do you deliver outside Ontario?

Our primary service area is Ontario. Deliveries to neighbouring provinces can be arranged on a case-by-case basis, typically for larger consolidated orders. Contact us with the destination and quantities and we will confirm feasibility and freight options.

Products & warranty

Are the products new?

Yes. Everything we supply is new, factory-sealed and in the manufacturer's original carton. We do not sell open-box, refurbished, scratch-and-dent or returned units.

What warranty applies?

Products are covered by the manufacturer's Canadian warranty, which varies by brand and category. We supply the warranty documentation with your order and can help you register products or direct you to the appropriate manufacturer service channel if a claim is needed.

What if an item arrives damaged or does not work?

Please inspect deliveries on receipt and note any visible carton damage on the delivery paperwork. Report transit damage or a unit that is dead on arrival within 48 hours, including photos of the carton and the unit, and we coordinate a replacement, repair or credit with the carrier or manufacturer. Defects that appear later are handled through the manufacturer's Canadian warranty, and we will help you get the claim started.

Are products certified for use in Canada?

Products in our catalogue carry the applicable Canadian certification marks (such as cUL, cETL or CSA) as applied by the manufacturer. ENERGY STAR® certified models are identified in the catalogue where applicable, which is useful for buyers with energy-efficiency requirements or rebate programs.

Accounts & business

Who can buy from General Wholesale?

We supply businesses and organizations: retailers, property managers and landlords, builders and contractors, hospitality operators, offices, institutions and resellers. If your organization does not fit one of these categories, contact us and we will confirm whether we can help.

What is a trade account?

A trade account is an optional arrangement for buyers who order regularly. It provides a dedicated account contact who knows your product mix, streamlined repeat ordering, and eligibility for net payment terms after a review of your business. You can apply online; approval is not required to request a quote.

Do you sell to the public?

No. General Wholesale is a business-to-business distributor and does not sell to individual consumers. If you are a homeowner looking for a specific model, we recommend purchasing through an appliance retailer in your area.
